My name is Jan Oris. I’m a studious PHP developer with soft spot for developing creative and innovative solutions for web-related problems. I try to use strong architectures and clean coding techniques as a solid foundation for all my work, supplemented with the latest web technologies to ensure the best possible result.
I’m proficient in agile development methodologies such as scrum, XP and Kanban to ensure an efficient work flow with both customers and team members. Also I’m very fond of teaching new skills to others, be it programming, methodologies or other ideas.
Maintenance and continued development of the ArtAssistant platform. Includes keeping the existing functionality up to date as well as development of new features, both back-end and front-end (VueJS).
Development of several large Symfony applications as a member of the active development team. This also included significant front-end development, specifically VueJS and Vuex.
Development of back-office application in Laravel 5 for the operational management of the company. The project also included management and modifications to the existing Wordpress e-commerce platform.
Development of CRM application used by up to 10 internal operators to manage the day-to-day operations of the organisation. The application included order/client/contract management, lead follow-up, dashboards and reporting and much more.
Started out as Java developer but made the switch to PHP after 9 months. I was involved in a large amount of projects, ranging from 1.5 years to 2 months in duration.
Full curriculum of 180 credits for the bachelor and 120 credits for the master. For my master degree, I chose to specialise in multimedia and networking. The subject of my master's thesis was "3D Tracking Using Wiimotes"
